Creative Jewelry Designs by Linda Nelson
I have been an artist for forty years. I enjoy and crave creativity and it inspires me to create new ideas. I started out as a stay at home mom and my creative skills supplemented our income.
My first business was Macramé, which I did for about ten years. I became interested in Stained Glass Window Design and took classes at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. I fell in love with the craft and eventually taught classes at McHenry County College in McHenry, Illinois. I also designed several custom windows for clients and participated in Art Shows in the area. In 1983 we moved to Phoenix, Arizona and I continued my business in Stained Glass Window Design for 26 years. I have been presented many awards for my Stained Glass Designs in various shows, commissioned for hundreds of custom windows. and have many fond memories. Ten years ago I became interested in Jewelry Design. I overlapped my two crafts for about three years and then phased out of the Stained Glass Design. It was a hard decision, as I really loved the creativity of glass work.
The jewelry is so much fun and gives me that creative opportunity that I enjoy. I have developed a technique that is different and have signature pieces. The curling dangles on my jewelry is my trade mark. It will be found on most of my pieces. Other Jewelry Artist have admired my patience and creativity. My talent and creations are God given and I give Him all the glory.
